Medication Information and Care Event Tracking

Medication schedules, reminders, and care observations often sit in separate tools, making it harder to see a complete day.

What should organizations consider?

Authorized access; reminders; time-stamped observations; handoff context; existing medication administration policies.

KinNotice is not represented as an electronic medication administration record or a substitute for clinical orders, verification or legally required records.

How this fits into everyday support

The experience is designed to help caregivers organize related information while continuing to use required medication systems.

Explore the DSP documentation overview or the HCBS and I/DD solutions page to see related workflows.

Profiles and schedules are separate from outcomes

The full KinNotice medication vision includes a profile containing the medication name, strength, form, instructions and relevant context. Routine, one-time and as-needed schedules may specify times, recurrence and reminders.

A reminder that medication support is due does not prove the medication was taken or administered. The intended system distinguishes the scheduled time, actual recorded event and documentation time.

More accurate outcome documentation

The outcome model considers Taken/Given, Declined, Missed, Late, Held per instruction, Unable and Other, as applicable. Authorized caregivers may capture level of assistance, exceptions or relevant observations.

As-needed (PRN) entries require explicit recording rather than being inferred from a schedule. Authorized corrections should retain historical attribution where supported.

Important safety and scope boundaries

Medication-related features are not intended to verify prescriptions, issue medical advice, authorize administrations or replace required electronic medication administration records. Providers must follow their own clinical, legal and documentation obligations.

Read about the care calendar to understand how planned and recorded events stay distinct, and about record corrections and history.
